  • A reputable Investment Bank based in the City are looking to hire a Windows Server Engineer.  You will be instrumental in delivering solutions and product innovation for the Windows estate as the comapny are embarking on a large-scale infrastructure transforamation programme involving DevOps, tooling and Cloud. Infrastucture as code and continuous delivery will be at the forefront of your work when looking after the windows server environment globally. You will be a techie at heart and you will be used to working in a fast paced environment working closely with the business and IT.  You will have a strong technical background in Windows (with certification) and have familiarity with other windows technologies (SCOM, SCCM and AD).  You will also be strong with automation and any experience with the Cloud would be advantageous.

    A leading Investment Bank is currently seeking a Front Office Application Support Analyst to join their Trading and Risk Support team in London This position will involve heavily interacting with members of the business and key stakeholders at various levels of seniority within the organisation. They team works directly with the Commodities & Global Markets business (includes Fixed Income, FX, Equities). A key focus of the role is ensuring production environments remain stable, reliable and performing at an optimal level. The Application Support Analyst will provide business facing support and use their technical skills to improve how they operate production technology. The organisation is currently migrating to & managing services from physical to the cloud so this position will provide a real opportunity to develop new state-of-the-art technical skills, working closely with a Devops Engineer. (Please note they are an AWS partner and using this tool to move a lot of their solutions into the cloud). Requirements: Experience supporting globally distributed technology systems within Banking Proficiency in LINUX/Windows Operating Systems and ability to script (i.e. Python / Shell/ Bash). Experience with Databases (i.e. Sybase and SQL Server) and adept in writing SQL. Experience with environment monitoring.

  • Working for a tier 1 Investment Bank in the City you will be managing a team of Regulatory Reporting application developers (team of 30) across a tech stack of Angular JS, Python & SQL.  This role will be hired at Director level. The team are currently building a new strategic regulatory reporting platform in a particularly high-profile and visible project for the bank as part of a multi-year investment. They require an experienced Dev Manager to lead the function in a role which you will ideally already have had the following experience preferably at Director level; Ideal candidate will have reg reporting experience; can still be ‘a bit’ hands on (more in terms of code reviewing than actual hands on coding themselves but needs to be close enough to the code and core dev work); exposure to driving out the quality of the dev work and practices; python exp ideal but they will consider other languages; the successful candidate will need to be able to have high-level conversations with the architecture group on direction of the platform and re-engineering concepts.

  • Front Office Business Analyst - Investment Bank (London) A leading Bank based in the City of London is currently seeking a Business Analyst to work across their Front Office IT Group. This position would cover all areas across the Bank so it will be a diverse and varied position with a number of business critical projects (Front Office, Regulatory, Mifid II, ect). Key tasks will involve improving business efficiency, process change and how to extract information from the business. Other tasks will include helping to develop the conceptual design and supply necessary information to Project Manager for the planning of authorised projects as well as contributing to the planning, execution and verification of Integration Testing. The manager also wanted to highlight that this is a strategic, long term hire with a real opportunity to progress within the company with an opportunity to step up into a more leadership focused position.   The Bank likes their Business Analysts to be business facing, with the ability to engage with various stakeholder groups, whilst having enough technical ability to turn requirements into functional specifications. Importantly though the team really needs a Business Analyst who can liaise with the business and understand what key stakeholders require whilst thinking “how can we make this work at a solution/application level”   Please note that this person doesn’t necessarily of had to come from a Front Office Investment Banking background and the managers are more interested in the core Business Analyst skills (producing high quality specifications, drive business process, new business efficiencies).
