Front Office Application Support - Investment Bank

A leading Investment Bank is currently seeking a Front Office Application Support Analyst to join their Trading and Risk Support team in London

This position will involve heavily interacting with members of the business and key stakeholders at various levels of seniority within the organisation. They team works directly with the Commodities & Global Markets business (includes Fixed Income, FX, Equities). A key focus of the role is ensuring production environments remain stable, reliable and performing at an optimal level.

The Application Support Analyst will provide business facing support and use their technical skills to improve how they operate production technology.

The organisation is currently migrating to & managing services from physical to the cloud so this position will provide a real opportunity to develop new state-of-the-art technical skills, working closely with a Devops Engineer. (Please note they are an AWS partner and using this tool to move a lot of their solutions into the cloud).

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting globally distributed technology systems within Banking
  • Proficiency in LINUX/Windows Operating Systems and ability to script (i.e. Python / Shell/ Bash).
  • Experience with Databases (i.e. Sybase and SQL Server) and adept in writing SQL.
  • Experience with environment monitoring.
